Brian Holden directed the musical, featuring a score by A.J. Holmes and Kaley McMahon and a book by Matt Lang, Nick Lang and Eric Kahn Gale. James Tolbert choreographed, and music direction was by Justin Fischer with orchestrations by Andrew Fox.
The cast of StarKid veterans included Dylan Saunders, Jeff Blim, Joe Walker, Jim Povolo, Lauren Lopez, Meredith Stepien, Denise Donovan, Nick Gage and Jaime Lyn Beatty as well as three new additions to the StarKid acting company — Rachael Soglin, Alex Grace Paul and Robert Manion.
In Twisted, according to press notes, "Team StarKid turns its satirical eye on the classic story of Aladdin, doing for its much maligned Royal Vizier what Wicked did for the Witch of the West."
