News THE SCREENING ROOM: We Love Lucy! Happy Birthday Lucille Ball (Video) August 6, 2012, marks what would have been Lucille Ball's 101st birthday. Playbill.com is loving Lucy today with a handful of video performances from her career.

Ball appeared on Broadway only once, in the 1960 Cy Coleman-Carolyn Leigh musical Wildcat, but she also appeared in the musical film of Jerry Herman's "Mame" and numerous variety specials.
