Charlie Chaplin did it. So did Marcel Marceau and those men in Broadway's Swan Lake. Now, the Six Characters ensemble present their musically wordless production, The Six Characters Cometh, at the Connelly Theater in downtown Manhattan July 19-Aug. 12. The cartoon-like comedy romp created and performed by the ensemble features a series of choreographed scenes set to music and divided by video sequences. The show sets out to answer the great mysteries about justice, existence, and God in this 70-minute epic. Suchan Vodoor directs.

The presentation features a cast of Kym Bernazky, James Ford, Alexandra Gray, Katharine Houston, Alan Ostroff, Seth Trucks and Sarah Wilson Brown. The creative team includes Harry C. Rosenblum (lighting), Julie Winger (costumes) and John DesRoches (video).

Cometh is Six Characters sophomore effort following their first work, Six Characters in Search of a Working Title. That show played at various lower Manhattan venues for a two and a half year span. The new show came from a workshop with John Charles Murphy, a founding member of Mummenschanz.

For tickets to the Six Characters production at the Connelly Theater, 220 East 4th Street (between Avenues A and B), call (212) 802-9350. For more information, visit their website at www.fracturedatlas.org.
