Classic Arts News The Sixteen Named Associate Ensemble at London's South Bank Centre The early-music vocal group The Sixteen will become an associate ensemble of the South Bank Centre next season, the London venue announced.
The Sixteen will perform three concerts each season at the South Bank Centre starting in October 2006.

"I am absolutely delighted that my choir, The Sixteen, is to become an associate ensemble of the South Bank," said conductor Harry Christophers. "It not only gives us a London home but also allows us to pursue some adventurous programming and at the same time brings our music to an even wider audience. Exciting times are definitely ahead."

Founded 26 years ago by Christophers, The Sixteen has performed and recorded music ranging from the medieval period to the 20th century.
