Actor-musicians Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley, who comprise the scantily-clad music duo, have garnered buzz thanks to their Youtube videos, which capture them playing various instruments, from the cello, ukulele, guitar and glockenspiel to the melodica, all in their underwear.
The Oct. 29 single-release party was canceled due to Hurricane Sandy, but it has been rescheduled for Nov. 19 at 7:30 PM. All tickets sold for the Oct. 29 canceled party will be honored at the Nov. 19 Cutting Room concert. The concert promises a variety of Skivvies covers and special guests.
The evening will feature Cearley and Molina, as well as Benanti, Taylor, Emma Hunton, Emily Bergl, Mitchell Jarvis, Adam Kantor and Joseph Morales.
"Hardbody Hoedown" is described as a bluegrass-tinged parody mega-medley of hip-hop songs about body parts. "The mashups we’ve been doing at our live shows naturally led us to our parody single, 'Hardbody Hoedown,' where we give the filthiest rap the prettiest twang," Cearley said in a statement.
The song is now available for download via iTunes and other digital outlets.
There is an $18 cover. For tickets visit spincyclenyc.com. The Cutting Room is located at 44 E. 32nd Street.
