The soon-to-open Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark was the first non-nominated musical to perform. The show's stars, Reeve Carney and Jennifer Damiano, sang  "If the World Should End." The cast of Memphis made their way back to the Tonys to perform "Steal Your Rock 'N' Roll," and host Neil Patrick Harris was given additional performance opportunities—he joined his Company cast from the New York Philharmonic production to perform "Side by Side." Finally, although Priscilla Queen of Desert did not receive a Best Musical nomination, the company still got to take the stage at the Beacon Theatre to perform "It's Raining Men," alongside R&B diva Martha Wash.
