News The Steadfast, Directed by Wes Grantom, Opens Off-Broadway Run Jan. 23 Steve Alpert and Ken Greiner in association with Slant Theatre Project present the world premiere of Mat Smart's The Steadfast, a multigenerational view of wars throughout American history, which officially opens Jan. 23 at 7 PM at TBG Theatre.

Directed by Wes Grantom, previews began Jan. 20. The cast comprises Matt Dellapina, John Behlmann, Brent Langdon, David Ryan Smith, Alex Ubokudom, Brendan Titley, Ben Kahre, Susan Greenhill, Cloteal Horne and Nick Mills.

"The mother of a fallen U.S. soldier refuses to leave the red oak tree her son planted," according to press notes. "A father forbids his sons from joining the military. A young woman enlists on the afternoon her country is attacked without discussing it with her family."

The design team includes Daniel Zimmerman (set design), Tilly Grimes (costume design), Driscoll Otto (lighting design), Daniel Kluger (sound design) and Phil Pickens (original compositions).

Performances are Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 8 PM; Saturdays at 2 PM and 8 PM; and Sundays at 2 PM.
