News The Story of My Life Will Be Told at the Havok Theatre Company The Havok Theatre Company will stage the short-lived Broadway musical about two-life-long friends, The Story of My Life, beginning Feb. 24 in Hollywood.

The Ovation Award-winning Havok presents the engagement of the chamber musical that has music and lyrics by Neil Bartram and a book by Brian Hill. The Story of My Life will officially open Feb. 26 and run through April 4 at the Lillian Theatre.

Story will feature Robert J. Townsend (Mamma Mia!, Grease, The Seafarer) as Thomas Weaver and Chad Borden (Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Laramie Project, Burn This) as Alvin Kelby.

Havok artistic director Nick DeGruccio helms the production which, according to press notes, "tells the story of two childhood friends and how their friendship profoundly defined their lives. Thomas Weaver is a best-selling, award-winning author. Alvin Kelby was his best friend for thirty years. But time can test the bonds of friendship, and when it does, Thomas calls on the only resource he has - his stories of Alvin - to learn where things went wrong."

The production will have set design by Tom Buderwitz, lighting design by Steven Young and sound design by Drew Dalzell. Michael Paternostro will musical direct.

The Story of My Life began performances on Broadway Feb. 3, 2009, and officially opened Feb. 19 at the Booth Theatre. The 90-minute, intermissionless musical closed Feb. 22 after 18 previews and five regular performances. For tickets phone (818) 505-1875 or visit HavokTheatre.
