News The Taming of the Shrew, Starring Michael Moss and Elissa Klie, Begins Tonight The Taming of the Shrew, Shakespeare's battle of the sexes, plays the Baruch Performing Arts Center/Rose Nagelberg Theatre beginning July 10.

Presented by Baruch Performing Arts Center and TGW Acting Studio and directed by Thomas G. Waites, the production continues through Aug. 3. 

Starring Michael Moss as Petruchio and Elissa Klie as Katherine, the cast also features Yohance Alleyne, Michelle Blazer, Eric Cruz, Daniel Damiano, Mary Doyle, Taylor Freeman, Cedric Allen Hills, Jennifer Kalajian, James Luse, Ilaria Malvezzi, Isaac Allen Miller, Jakob Minevich, Melissa Molerio, Alexandra Montgomery, Vanessa Munley, Anna Nikitina, Jay Reum, Bryan Russo, Ralph Schneider and Josh Walter.

"The Taming of the Shrew is a romantic romp through the perils of courtship and love," press notes state. "A rarely performed comedy about the journey & conquest of love, it is one of Shakespeare’s most admired plays."

The production also features set and lighting design by Jasmine Nicole Roberts, costume design by Rebecca Welles and live music by Juilliard alumni. David Brimmer is fight choreographer, Kayla Santos is stage manager, and Lisa Greenberg is assistant to the director.
