News The Verdict: Critics Review A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Starring Tony Winner Jefferson Mays A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, the new musical comedy that boasts Tony Award winner Jefferson Mays inhabiting eight different members of the doomed D'Ysquith family, officially opened on Broadway Nov. 17 at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder premiered last season in a co-production by Connecticut's Hartford Stage and the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego. Broadway previews began Oct. 22.

The musical has a book by Robert L. Freedman, music by Steven Lutvak and lyrics by Freedman and Lutvak. Darko Tresnjak directs, and Peggy Hickey choreographs.

The cast also features Bryce Pinkham (Love's Labour's Lost, Ghost), Lisa O'Hare, Lauren Worsham, Jane Carr, Pamela Bob, Joanna Glushak, Eddie Korbich, Jeff Kready, Mark Ledbetter, Jennifer Smith, Price Waldman and Catherine Walker.
