News "The Vertical Hour" to Arrive in Stores Dec. 12 Faber and Faber, Inc., an affiliate of Farrar, Straus and Giroux, will publish the script of David Hare's The Vertical Hour later this month.

The 110-page paperback tome is scheduled to arrive in stores Dec. 12. The retail price is $13. The Vertical Hour, which officially opened at Broadway's Music Box Theatre Nov. 30, co-stars Julianne Moore and Bill Nighy. Sam Mendes directs.

"Nadia Blye (Moore)," press notes state, "is a young American war reporter turned academic who teaches political studies at Yale. With her faith in academia beginning to erode and memories from her time in the Balkans and the Middle East haunting her, Nadia travels with her boyfriend, Philip Lucas (Andrew Scott), to rural England to visit his father, Oliver (Nighy), who forces decisions on her that will affect her for the rest of her life."

David Hare's other plays include Racing Demon, Murmuring Judges, The Absence of War, Plenty, The Secret Rapture, Skylight, The Blue Room, Amy's View, The Judas Kiss, Via Dolorosa and Stuff Happens.
