O’Donnell, who is now a co-host of the morning talk show, recently announced that the March 21 broadcast of "The View" will feature performances from The Color Purple, Les Misérables and A Chorus Line.
O’Donnell told the audience, "On my birthday, which is Wednesday, [we’ll welcome] cast members from The Color Purple. We’re going to have a performance from them. We’re going to have a performance from Les Misérables. We’re going to have a performance from A Chorus Line, all here on my birthday. Three musical numbers. Kapow! Isn’t that fantastic?"
"The View" airs in the metropolitan area on WABC-TV, Channel 7, from 11 AM-noon; check local listings.
The Color Purple plays the Broadway Theatre; the revival of Les Misérables plays the Broadhurst Theatre; and the A Chorus Line revival plays the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
