GO→ Didn't get a chance to see Iron Mike in his Broadway debut last summer? Fear not! The Spike Lee-helmed Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth tour makes a stop at New York's Beacon Theatre this week. In the one-man show, the former heavyweight champion of the world gives a no-holds-barred account of the trials and tribulations of his fascinating and troubled life — including his time in prison, his tumultuous relationship with ex-wife Robin Givens and the 2009 death of his then four-year-old daughter. GO→ The New York Pops will celebrate its 30th anniversary with some of Broadway's best singing the music of Frank Loesser, Jule Styne and actor Danny Kaye (who would have been 100 this past January). Among the stars on the roster are Annie’s Anthony Warlow, Leslie Uggams, Laura Osnes, Donna Murphy, Laura Benanti, Kelli O'Hara, Stephanie J. Block, Megan Hilty, Will Chase and more! CLICK→ The nominees for the 2013 Tony Awards will be announced live on CBS at 8:30 AM ET. Sutton Foster (a two-time Tony winner herself) and "Modern Family" star Jesse Tyler Ferguson will announce the nominees culled from the 2012-13 season on Broadway. This season was star-studded (i.e. Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Alec Baldwin, Al Pacino), with some big commercial successes (i.e. Matilda, Motown), moments of artistic brilliance (i.e. Pippin, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?), some critical and commercial disappointments (i.e. Scandalous, Dead Accounts), and lots of unique solo stints (Mike Tyson, Bette Midler, Alan Cumming, Fiona Shaw). OPENING (L.A.)→ Neil LaBute's adaptation of August Strindberg's Miss Julie opens at the Geffen Playhouse starring Tony nominee Lily Rabe in the classic title role of a wealthy seductress who engages in a battle of power and sex with a couple (Laura Heisler and Logan Marshall-Green) working at her father's posh estate. LaBute sets the action in glamorous 1920s Long Island right before the stock market crash that would eventually cause the Great Depression. PREVIEWS→ Christopher Lloyd stars in the Classic Stage Company's revival of Bertolt Brecht's The Caucasian Chalk Circle. The epic tale begins at the end of World War II in a war-torn Soviet Union, where a young Russian maid (Tony nominee Elizabeth A. Davis, of Once) finds herself the caretaker of an abandoned infant and on the run through the Caucasus Mountains, where a singing raconteur and his band of musicians (Lloyd) tells us of the years-long fate that awaits our heroine and the lost child.
