LAST CHANCE→ Patti LuPone ends her engagement at 54 Below, a new lounge and cabaret billing itself as "Broadway's living room." This inaugural program showcases the two-time Tony winner in the intimate setting designed by John Lee Beatty. In the Scott Wittman-helmed show, Far Away Places, LuPone offers an eclectic set: everything from songs from Sweeney Todd and The Threepenny Opera to jazz versions of Willie Nelson and Cole Porter tunes to a selection of Paris and Berlin cabaret classics from the 1930s and '40s. LAST CHANCE→ It's your last chance to catch Nina Arianda's Tony-winning performance in David Ives' Tony-nominated kinky dark comedy Venus in Fur. Arianda plays the feisty and mysterious Vanda, who shows up late to an audition with an uptight writer-director named Thomas (Hugh Dancy), who has been searching for a star for his new play based on the 19th-century erotic novel "Venus in Furs." When Thomas and Vanda read through some sexually charged scenes, the lines between reality and theatre become frighteningly blurred. LAST CHANCE→ The misadventures of Boeing-Boeing's loveable lotharios, Robert and Bernard, is chronicled in Marc Camoletti's Don't Dress For Dinner. Bernard (Adam James) has a plan to spend a weekend in the country with his mistress (Jennifer Tilly) only to have his plan spoiled by his wife (Patricia Kalember). When he enlists the help of his good pal, Robert (Ben Daniels) and a French cook (2012 Tony nominee Spencer Kayden) to devise a plan to keep his mistress and wife apart, dinner is spoiled. GO→ On Tony night, June 10, Judy Garland would have celebrated her 90th birthday. Eight days later, Howard McGillin, Leslie Kritzer, Ashley Brown, Andrea McArdle, Tony winner Tonya Pinkins, Karen Akers and Daniel Reichard assemble for Night of a Thousand Judys, a benefit for the Ali Forney Center, a safe haven for homeless LGBT youth. GO→ Playbill's own Seth Rudetsky will celebrate the launch of his new online TV network SethTV.com with a concert featuring Tony winner Andrea Martin, Corbin Bleu, Melissa Errico, Mandy Gonzales, Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz, Christopher Jackson, Josh Henry and comedienne Lisa Lampanelli. The evening, called Not Since High School, features the company performing songs they did when they were teens. GO→ Laura Osnes, the Tony-nominated star of Bonnie and Clyde and the upcoming Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, will make her cabaret debut at the famous Café Carlyle. Osnes (and her gorgeous voice) will take on Broadway standards and folk tunes. Also expect a sweet musical moment with her husband, actor Nathan Johnson, and special guests (including Bonnie and Clyde co-star Jeremy Jordan, plus Tom Wopat and Grease pal Max Crumm) during select performances. GO→ The 92YTribeca will pay tribute to two of entertainment's most indelible performers in a series of talks entitled "On the…" First up is On the Iconic Barbra Streisand (Wednesday) with Marc Courtade (business manager for Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at Long Island University) leading a conversation about the best-selling female recording artist of all time (who is returning to Brooklyn this fall for a historic concert at the new Barclays Center). Thursday, June 21
OPENING→ Anna Chlumsky, Bill Buell and Kate Buddeke star in the world premiere of David Adjmi's 3C. The dark comedy about an ex-serviceman returning from the Vietnam War takes inspiration from "1970s sitcoms, 1950s existentialist comedy, Chekhov and disco anthems." OPENING (Las Vegas)→ Surf the Musical, a new jukebox show using the hit songs from the Beach Boys catalog, opens at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Rock of Ages' Tony-nominated director Kristin Hanggi is at the helm of the 90-minute beach party tuner that stars Marshal Kennedy Carolan, Lauren Zakrin, Adrian Zmed, Todd Buonopane and Tony Award nominee Robert Torti.
