GO (Boston)→ Tony winner Mary Zimmerman's theatrical take on Disney's The Jungle Book makes its way to Boston. The lavish, India-set musical follows a young "man-cub" (10-year-old Akash Chopra) who is raised by the animals of the jungle. Expect the beloved Sherman Brothers and Terry Gilkyson tunes from the 1967 animated film like "The Bare Necessities," a show-stopping "I Wanna Be Like You" (performed by André De Shields as King Louis) and "Trust in Me." OPENING (TOUR)→ A new Argentina spreads across North America with the first national tour of the Michael Grandage-Rob Ashford helmed Evita. Caroline Bowman, Sean MacLaughlin and Tony nominee Josh Young star as the Perons and Che, respectively, in this Tony-nominated version of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's famous rock musical. The tour kicks off at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Rhode Island before hitting the rest of the country throughout 2013-14. GO (TOUR)→ Andrew Lloyd Webber's new stage adaptation of The Wizard of Oz takes to Las Vegas to kick off its North American tour. Newcomer Danielle Wade, who was selected to play Dorothy following the Canadian reality show "Over The Rainbow," leads the cast. OPENS→ Mike Daisey returns to the Public Theater with All the Faces of the Moon, an "epic theatrical event" exploring the secret history of New York through 29 unique consecutive performances, each one building on the last. Daisey is back at the Public following last fall's American Utopias and 2011's controversial The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs,which found the famous monologist had fabricated portions of his acclaimed show about critical working conditions in China. AUDITION→ The producers of Motown are turning their casting for the first national tour of the Broadway hit into a marketing opportunity with "Makin' It Motown." An open call audition for African-American actors hoping to portray characters like Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye and a young Michael Jackson will take place at Motown's Broadway home, the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, before heading to Chicago, the tour's launch city.
