News The Winner Takes It All: Mamma Mia! Comes to Las Vegas; Principal Cast Announced The international hit musical Mamma Mia! opened its ninth production in Las Vegas Feb. 3.

The musical, based on the songs of ABBA, will officially open at Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Theatre Feb. 13. Tina Walsh heads the cast as Donna Sheridan, the single mom who is visited by her two best friends and three former beaus on the eve of her daughter's wedding. Jennifer Perry and Karole Foreman play, respectively, friends Rosie and Tanya, and daughter Sophie is portrayed by Jill Paice. The cast also features Victor Wallace (Sky), Nick Cokas (Sam), Mark Leydorf (Bill), Michael Piontek (Harry), Danielle Ferretti (Lisa), Courtney Bradshaw (Ali), Brandon Alameda (Pepper) and Felipe Crook (Eddie). Featuring music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and a book by Catherine Johnson, the creative team for Mamma Mia! includes Anthony Van Laast (choreography), Mark Thompson (production design), Howard Harrison (lighting design), Andrew Bruce and Bobby Aitken (sound design) and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch.

The Mandalay Bay Theatre is located within the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, a 3,300-room luxury resort on the Las Vegas strip. Tickets for Mamma Mia are priced at $65 and $85 and are available by calling the Mandalay box office at (702) 632-7580 or by logging on to www.mandalaybay.com. The musical will play Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings at 7 PM, Fridays at 8 PM and Saturday and Monday evenings at 7 PM and 10:30 PM.

Mamma Mia! continues to play to sell-out crowds at Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre. The international hit also plays London, Toronto, Sydney, Hamburg and Tokyo as well as two U.S. tours. Song titles include "Dancing Queen," "Knowing Me, Knowing You," "Money, Money, Money," "S.O.S.," "The Name of the Game" and "The Winner Takes it All."
