Kristen Johnston will be a guest on "Late Night with David Letterman" Oct. 15. Johnston is currently playing ultra-bitchy Sylvia Fowler in the Roundabout Theatre Company's current Broadway revival of The Women at the American Airlines Theatre. Previews began Oct. 12. Official opening is Nov. 8. Scott Elliott directs. Since the termination of her long-running sitcom, "Third Rock from the Sun," the Emmy Award-winning Johnston has returned to the theatre in a big way. In addition to The Women, she spent this past summer in The Smell of the Kill, a black comedy by Michele Lowe at the Berkshire Theatre Festival. The play is expected Off-Broadway this sesason, though Johnston's involvement is not confirmed.
