News Theater for a New City Presents Survived By, Aug. 8-17 Survived By, a new work by Stuart Perelmuter, will play Off Broadway's Theater for a New City next month.

Directed by Kyle Davies — who assisted Lonny Price on Urban Cowboy and "MASTER HAROLD"...and the boysSurvived By will play 10 performances, Aug. 8-17. The cast features Jonathan Day, Maya Goldsmith, Mark Alan Gordon, Jono Hustis, Julien Schwab, Emily Shoolin, Melissa Southwood and Jeanne Tinker. Survived By is billed as a play "about life, religion and self." Following the death of his wife, Abe (Mark Alan Gordon) struggles with his religion, and his daughter's engagement to a man of a different faith intensifies his conflict. Playwright Perelmuter is perhaps best known for his independent film "Fake ID," in which he also starred.

The creative team for Survived By comprises David Ferguson (set and lighting design), Chris Rummel (sound design), Scott Cronick and Elizabeth Payne (costume design) and Erica Conrad (stage manager).
