The Oct. 11 edition of "Theater Talk," the acclaimed PBS talk show that offers interviews with top theatre celebrities and writers, will spotlight the new production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Flower Drum Song. Guests for the program include Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization President Ted Chapin and Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang, who has written an entirely new book for the musical, which is currently in previews at the Virginia Theatre.
The 30-minute broadcast will also feature a preview of the new theatre season. Journalists Patrick Pacheco (Show People) and Jesse McKinley (The New York Times) will be on hand to handicap the 2002-03 season on Broadway.
Hosted by New York Post theatre columnist Michael Riedel and producer Susan Haskins, "Theatre Talk" airs late Friday nights at midnight on WNET/Thirteen.
