News "Theater Talk" to Welcome Black, Giles, Callaway and Samonsky Guests have been announced for the July 3 and 10 episodes of "Theater Talk," the PBS talk show that offers interviews with top theatre practitioners.

The July 3 program — 1 AM on WNET/Thirteen — will feature comedians Lewis Black ("The Daily Show") and Nancy Giles ("CBS News Sunday Morning"), who will "discuss their theatre 'educations,' their early days working together in NYC at the West Bank Café and their roles as mentors for inner city kids at The 52nd Street Project," according to press notes. The half-hour broadcast will also feature a report about the opening of the City Center Encores! Summer Stars production of The Wiz.

CUNY-TV will air encore broadcasts July 4 at 8:30 PM, July 5 at 12:30 PM and July 6 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM.

"The Lyrics of Oscar Hammerstein" will be explored on the July 10 edition of "Theater Talk" (1 AM on WNET/Thirteen). Guests will include Ted Chapin, president and executive director of The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization, and lyricist Michael Korie. Liz Callaway and Andrew Samonsky will perform Rodgers and Hammerstein favorites.

CUNY-TV will air encore broadcasts July 18 at 8:30 PM, July 19 at 12:30 PM and July 20 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
