News "Theater Talk" Will Remember Playwright Pinter Feb. 20 The Feb. 20 episode of "Theater Talk," the PBS talk show that offers interviews with top theatre practitioners, will celebrate the life of the late playwright Harold Pinter.

The upcoming program, titled "Remembering Harold Pinter," will feature interviews with drama critics John Simon (Bloomberg News) and Linda Winer (Newsday), who will discuss Pinter's impact on the theatre and debate the importance of his work in the development of modern drama. This episode of "Theater Talk" debuts Feb. 20 at 1 AM ET (Saturday morning) and will be rebroadcast on CUNY TV, Channel 75 March 7 at 8:30 PM, March 8 at 12:30 PM and March 9 at 7:30 AM and 1:30 and 7:30 PM as well as March 12 at 11:30 PM on NJN.

Harold Pinter, the dramatist, actor, essayist, novelist, screenwriter, poet and director, died Dec. 24, 2008 at age 78. Pinter's The Homecoming won the Tony Award for Best Play in 1967. The Caretaker was nominated for Best Play in 1962, and Old Times was nominated for Best Play in 1972. In 1969 Mr. Pinter received a Tony nomination for Best Direction of a Play for staging Robert Shaw's The Man in the Glass Booth. Mr. Pinter also won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2005.
