Such theatre veterans as Anita Gillette, Jack Gilpin, and Harold Scott are slated to appear in TheaterWorks upcoming go-around with A.R. Gurney's modern warhorse, Love Letters. The play, a love story told through a 50-year correspondence, begins perfonces on May 28 with Fran Brill and Robert Kelly, who are husband and wife off-stage.

Anita Gillette and David Hedison will assume the leads June 3-7. Among Gillette's Broadway credits are the Neil Simon plays Chapter Two and Brighton Beach Memoirs. Hedison's film and TV work includes the original film of The Fly and the TV soap Another World.

Taking the stage June 10-14 are Ann McDonough and Jack Gilpin. McDonough has acted at New Haven's Long Wharf Theatre frequently. Gilpin, meanwhile, recently appeared in Hartford Stage's production of Intimate Exchanges.

Gail Nelson and Harold Scott partner up June 17-21. Nelson appeared in TheaterWorks' mounting of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill. Scott acted in the original production of The Boys in the Band.
