Founded in 1982 in honor of the late Princess Grace of Monaco, the awards and grants were created to assist emerging artists with their training. The awards will be presented during a black-tie gala Oct. 25 at Sotheby's. As in the past, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco will preside over the evening with T.R.H. The Prince and Princess of Hanover also in attendance.
In addition to the various grants and awards, James Earl Jones will present George Lucas with the Prince Rainier III Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the arts.
The companies hosting a 2007 honoree will also receive a General Operating Support grant, which "help support general operating expenses for the institution," according to an announcement.
