News Theatre Artists Honored With Princess Grace Awards The Princess Grace Foundation-USA has announced the recipients of its 2006 awards and grants, including a variety of theatre artists.

The Princess Grace Foundation-USA was founded in 1984 in memory of Princess Grace of Monaco, to continue her work assisting aspiring artists pursuing their career goals.

The Foundation awards grants to emerging theatre, dance, and film artists in the United States. This year, in addition to the traditional grants, the Foundation will award an additional General Operating Support grant to companies hosting a 2006 Princess Grace Awards winner.

The Board of Trustees of the Princess Grace Foundation-USA and its chairman, John F. Lehman, will bestow the awards at a black-tie gala on Nov. 2 at Ciprianni 42nd Street. CNN’s Larry King will serve as master of ceremonies once again, and H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Foundation's vice chairman, together with other notables from the artistic world, will preside over the awards gala.

Michael Braun, 28; Yale School of Drama (CT); Graduate Acting; Theater Scholarship; Grace Le Vine Theater Award
Christopher Brown, 34; Mud/Bone (Bronx, NY); Lighting Design; Theater Fellowship; Pierre Cardin Theater Award
Alice Reagan, 31; Target Margin Theater (Brooklyn, NY); Directing; Theater Apprenticeship; Faberge Theater Award
Maureen Towey, 26; Sojourn Theater (OR); Directing; Theater Apprenticeship; Gant Gaither Theater Award
Chi-wang Yang, 28; California Institute of the Arts; Directing; Theater Scholarship; George C. Wolfe Theater Award
James McManus, 35; New Dramatists; Playwriting Fellowship
