Several executive-level personnel changes were announced by Theatre LA, the nonprofit association of theatres and theatrical producers supporting theatre in greater Los Angeles.
Executive director Alisa Fishbach has left her post to concentrate on other opportunities with The Shropshire/Wolverine Company, a general management and production firm she formed with Larry O'Connor, who until recently was general manager of the Shubert Theatre. O'Connor also resigned from the presidency of Theatre LA.
O' Connor's position at the Shubert has been filled by former Mark Taper employee Mark Nichols, who has moved from his job with Radio City to fill the Century City vacancy.
Jeff Brown, executive director of the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, will take the reins and serve out the remainder of O'Connor's term as president of the Theatre LA's board of governors.
Theatre LA governor Peter Ellenstein has resigned from the board as well, and will also be leaving his position as producing director of Los Angeles Repertory Co. to pursue a post- graduate degree.Ellenstein's position at LA Rep will be filled by several company members, who will divide his former duties.
