News Theatre Makers Launch “Mondays for Hillary” Independent theatre makers nationwide are adding their voices to the effort to elect Hillary Clinton for President.

Independent theatre makers nationwide are adding their voices to the effort to elect Hillary Clinton for President through “Mondays for Hillary,” a grass roots initiative designed specifically for those artists on production schedules with Mondays off.

Beginning September 12, theatre makers in 13 states gathered to make campaign calls for the Clinton campaign. The effort has since expanded and groups are activating, not only on Mondays, but every day through the November 8 presidential election. Volunteers are making their voices heard by way of phone banks, canvasing and hosting fundraising events.

The grass roots team has teamed up with “Don’t Play. Let’s Act!,” a platform launched by Mikhael Tara Garver to organize and activate theatre artists. “Don’t Play. Let’s Act!” focuses on Voting Rights and Registration through performance opportunities across the country, as well as direct actions like “Mondays for Hillary.”
