Farewell to Stephen Langley, founder of the Master of Fine Arts program in Performing Arts Management at NY's Brooklyn College, and author of three scholarly books on theatre management. Langley died of cardiac arrest June 7 at age 58. The Brooklyn College program, now in its 25th year, has graduated nearly 250 professionals in arts management. Langley's textbook, "Theatre Management And Production In America," is considered a standard resource on the subject.

A doctor of dramatic literature (from University of Illinois), Langley served as general manager of Cape Cod's summer stock Falmouth Playhouse for over two decades. Langley also served as President of the Association of Arts Administration Educators (AAAE).
