Eighteen 5-minute plays comprise the bill of one acts opening under the umbrella title of Open All Night at the Hudson Avenue Theatre in Los Angeles, May 2. Each play centers around a business that is open all night. Twenty-five actors will be featured in the plays, all of which are directed by Colin Campbell and Loren Chadima. Theatre Neo, the resident acting company at the Hudson, is producing the show, which runs Tuesday nights only through June 20.

Among the writers represented are Alexandra Kelly, Helen Lambros, Josh Schiowitz, David St. James, Mark Levine and Jay J. Levy.

The performers include Greg Albanese, Marika Becz, Carolyn Hennesdy, Phinneas Kiyomura, Sarah Nina Phillps, Tracey Rooney and Kirsten Vangsness, among others.

Theatre Neo also announced that Mom, a collection of spoken and musical works around the theme of moms and motherhood, will be presented at the Hudson May 13 at noon and May 14 at 3 PM. Originally created and performed by Michael Caldwell and Rachel Winfree for this year's Women in Theatre Celebrate Women 2000 event in March, the show has been described as "a Mother's Day gift you don't have to wrap."
