New York City:
A fledgling museum on Manhattan's Upper West Side is the scene of our story.

Meanwhile:
Our heroes, the 'Broadway Stars' prepare to come to the rescue and restore tranquility to the Metropolis.

It doesn't have the intensity of a comic book plot, but the New York City Comic Book Museum is hosting a benefit concert with some real-life Broadway stars. On Nov. 13, Marie LaFerrara (Foxy Ladies Love/Boogie 70's Explosion!) will host "Heart and Music: An Evening of Comedy and Song" at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle Auditorium.

The lineup who will lend their time to benefit the museum are Rich Affanoto, David Benoit, Angela DeCicco, Chris Diamantopoulos and Betsey Werbel of Les Miserables, Christine Allocca and Peter Lockyer of Miss Saigon, Liz McCartney of Phantom of the Opera, Sean McNally of Naked Boys Singing, Maggie Anderson and Jennifer Ward of Foxy Ladies Love/Boogie 70's Explosion, Kevin B. McGlynn from Forbidden Broadway Strikes Back, Sam Belanger of the Annie Get Your Gun tour, David Gagnon of the Ragtime tour, Susan Spencer and Andrew Varela of the Evita tour, Sharon Wheatley from Cats and Virginia Woodruff Smokey Joe's Café.

A complimentary reception will follow the performance. All proceeds from the benefit will go toward the museum's programs that exhibit and preserve both the educational and entertainment value of comic books. The event takes place at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle Auditorium (9th Ave. and 60th St.) at 8 PM. Tickets are $25-30 and can be purchased by calling (212) 712-9454.
