Theatre World, the annual publication edited by John Willis, will, on June 3, bestow its self-titled awards honoring performers who have graced the New York stage for the first time during the 2001-2002 season. The awards will be presented at Studio 54.

The selection committee for the awards was comprised of Peter Filichia (The Newark Star-Ledger), Clive Barnes (The New York Post), Harry Haun (Playbill), Frank Scheck (The Hollywood Reporter), Michael Sommers (The Newark Star Ledger), Doug Watt (The New York Daily News) and Linda Winer (New York Newsday).

The winners are:
