Tony winner Prince portrays Arlene with Ripley as Pam, Butler as Lizzie, Christopher McDonald as Alan, Daniel Tatar as Danny and Graham Rowat as Nick. The ensemble features Sue Goodman, Alix Korey, Michael Kostroff, Amy Ryder and John Sloman. Show time is 8 PM.
Kevin Chamberlin directs the one-night-only performance of the musical, which concerns three couples whose lives are affected in various ways by the prospect of having (or not having) a baby. Georgia Stitt is the musical director.
Faith Prince won a Tony Award for her performance as Adelaide in the Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls and starred Off-Broadway in the Lincoln Center production of A Man of No Importance. Her numerous Broadway credits also include Noises Off, Bells Are Ringing, James Joyce's The Dead, Little Me, The King and I, What's Wrong with This Picture?, Nick & Nora and Jerome Robbins' Broadway. Her solo recording, "Leap of Faith," was recorded live at Joe's Pub and is available from DRG Records.
Kerry Butler was most recently on Broadway as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors. She portrayed Penny Pingleton in the original Broadway cast of Hairspray, and her other Broadway credits include Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Eponine in Les Misérables and Ms. Jones in Blood Brothers. Off-Broadway she was seen in Bat Boy The Musical, The "I" Word, Prodigal and The Folsom Head. She was also part of the cast of the new musical The Opposite of Sex.
Alice Ripley, who starred in the Paper Mill Playhouse's production of The Baker's Wife, has appeared on Broadway in Side Show (Tony nomination), The Rocky Horror Show, James Joyce's The Dead, Sunset Boulevard, The Who's Tommy, Les Misérables and in the City Center Encores! production of Li'l Abner. She has also been seen in Tell Me On a Sunday, Company, Shakespeare in Hollywood, The Fabulous Invalid and Five Flights. Ripley's non-show recordings include three discs with Side Show co-star Emily Skinner — "Duets," "Unsuspecting Hearts" and "Raw at Town Hall" — and two recordings of her own compositions, "Everything's Fine" and "Outtasite." Baby, with a book by Sybile Pearson, played Broadway's Ethel Barrymore Theatre, Nov. 8, 1983-July 1, 1984. The original cast boasted Liz Callaway, Todd Graff, James Congdon, Martin Vidnovic, Beth Fowler and Catherine Cox. The Maltby/Shire score includes such tunes as "At Night She Comes Home to Me," "I Chose Right," "The Story Goes On," "Easier to Love," "Two People in Love," "With You," "I Want It All" and "And What If We Had Loved Like That."

The series of one-night-only performances will conclude May 14 with It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman. Stuart Ross will direct Superman, which features a score by Charles Strouse (music) and Lee Adams (lyrics) and a book by David Newman and Robert Benton. The original Broadway production played 19 previews and 129 regular performances at the Alvin Theatre in 1966. The musical, according to press notes, is described thusly: "A reporter is out to uncover his identity, while another girl is trying to steal him away from Lois, and meanwhile, an evil mad scientist is trying to take over the world. What is Superman to do? With a little help from the Citizens of Metropolis, save the world, of course!"
