News   They're Singing Their Song: Thompson, Sieber Star in Reprise! of Simon-Hamlisch Musical Jan. 27 Into the Woods's Christopher Sieber and TV's Lea Thompson star as the songwriting couple at the center of the Neil Simon-Marvin Hamlisch-Carole Bayer Sager musical, They're Playing Our Song, in a one-night only, Reprise! performance Jan. 27 in Los Angeles.

A hit that ran over 1,000 performances at the Imperial Theatre after opening in February 1979, They're Playing Our Song was inspired by the professional and personal relationship between Bayer Sager and Hamlisch. Sieber comes directly from the role of Rapunzel's Prince/Wolf in Into the Woods. His Broadway credits include Beauty and the Beast and The Triumph of Love.

Jon Engstrom will direct and choreograph. A former soloist with San Francisco Ballet, his performing Broadway and touring dance credits include No, No, Nannette, The Pajama Game, 42nd Street, Chicago and Seesaw. He recently directed 42nd Street in Germany.
