Thomas Sadoski Continues His TV Streak with New CBS Sitcom "Life in Pieces" | Playbill

News Thomas Sadoski Continues His TV Streak with New CBS Sitcom "Life in Pieces" CBS debuted its new comedy series "Life in Pieces" on Sept. 21, starring Tony nominee Thomas Sadoski (Reasons to Be Pretty), Dianne Weist and James Brolin, among others. Sadoski, who was last seen on the New York stage opposite Amanda Seyfried in The Way We Get By in May, also had a starring role in the star-studded NBC mini-series "The Slap" earlier this year.

In "Life in Pieces" Sadoski plays Matt, who has been forced to move back in with his parents. Despite recent bad luck in his personal life, he may have finally found true love in his co-worker, Colleen, played by fellow stage actress Angelique Cabral, seen Off-Broadway in Tape and Rubirosa. The show traces a family and their awkward, intimate and most poignant moments. Watch the pilot episode and other clips from the new series here. "Life in Pieces" airs on CBS every Monday at 8:30 PM.

"The thing that makes the show great is that it’s very relatable. That is something it shares with any other show on CBS," Sadoski told the Guardian. "I think one of the things that makes "Bing Bang Theory" as successful as it is is that you have these characters that wouldn’t be relatable, but are. In some ways our show mirrors that. Regardless of where you are in your life, you can relate to these characters." Sadoski went on to say that Weist was a big drawing card for him in taking the part.

Sadoski, who also starred for three seasons on the Golden Globe-nominated series "The Newsroom," has been seen on Broadway in Other Desert Cities, The House of Blue Leaves and Reckless.
