Playwright Richard Greenberg will send Three Days of Rain San Jose Rep's way, beginning Oct. 23, when the play by that name begins previews. An opening will follow on Oct. 30 for a run through Nov. 22. Greenberg's drama -- which had a successful run at New York's Manhattan Theatre Club last season -- examines, among other things, children's utter inability to grasp the history of the parents that made them. Act one concerns a brother and sister and their mutual friend, and their frustrated attempts to sort through their parents' legacies. They make various suppositions about the past, all of which prove false in an Act Two flashback, when the parents' lives are depicted.
Timothy Near directs actors Remi Sandri, Lorri Holt and Christopher Rich.
