The world premiere of Bill Hyatt's "almost- romantic comedy" Babe Hunting Season is set for Jan. 13 at the Company of Angels in Silver Lake. Hyatt, who also directs, has set his story in the Reagan era and focuses on three single 30-somethings: Bob, Johnny and Mark, who meet every Thursday night in a neighborhood bar to plot their business and romantic conquests. Things get turned topsy-turvy, however, when the trio's most aggressive babe-hunter, Bob, collides head-on with his vow of "never going out with stolen women."Hyatt has double-cast the show; each performance will feature a different configuration of six actors, who will be announced nightly. The ensemble includes Keith A. Brush, LaDon Drummond, Van Epperson, Dean Farell, Elizabeth Kate, Crystal Keith, Gary J. Klavans, Jon Malmed, Mollie Milligan, Sara Nina Phillips, Russell Towne and Robbie Troy.
Angels Theatre is located at 2106 Hyperion Ave. For tickets and information call (323) 883-1717.
