Three Previews Canceled for Madonna's West End Debut

News   Three Previews Canceled for Madonna's West End Debut

The producers of Up for Grabs (London's Wyndham's Theatre), which stars Madonna in her West End debut, have canceled the first three previews on May 9, 10 and 11.

This is the producer's decision, not Madonna's. The announcement will disappoint fans who were fortunate enough to buy tickets for the sell-out show on those dates. It is believed that they will be offered a refund or tickets at special extra matinees that Madonna has agreed to — the regular matinees have been canceled owing to her other commitments.

Up for Grabs is a comedy about the rising price of art; it looks as if life is imitating theatre and the increasing scarcity of tickets for the world's biggest pop star will push their black-market value (reportedly £150 each) even higher.
