News Tickets on Sale for L.A. God of Carnage, With Original Broadway Cast, Starting Jan. 30 Tickets for the Los Angeles engagement of God of Carnage, which reunites original Broadway cast members Marcia Gay Harden, James Gandolfini, Jeff Daniels and Hope Davis, go on sale to the general public Jan. 30.

The calamitous parental battle royale, which centers on two sets of parents attempting to settle a playground dispute between their sons, was seen on Broadway in 2009 after an acclaimed London run. God of Carnage will bow at the Center Theatre Group's Ahmanson Theatre April 5 for a run through May 15. An opening night has been set for April 13.

Broadway producers Robert Fox, David Pugh & Dafydd Rogers, Stuart Thompson, Scott Rudin, Jon B. Platt, The Weinstein Company and The Shubert Organization have aligned with Center Theatre Group to present the L.A. engagement.

The cast will reunite with their Tony Award-winning director Matthew Warchus, who also staged the London production (with different actors). Representatives for CTG said it had not been determined whether the Los Angeles run would include the original Broadway lighting, scenic and costume designs.

The entire cast of God of Carnage earned Best Actor/Actress Tony nominations, respectively, for their work on Broadway. Harden took home the award for her performance. God of Carnage also earned Tony Awards for Best Play and Best Direction for Matthew Warchus.

God of Carnage and its original starry cast played to sold-out houses at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre following its March 22, 2009, opening. The play had been originally billed as a limited run, but critical raves prompted an extension (with the original cast in tow). Throughout its 452-performance Broadway run, God of Carnage welcomed a host of celebrity cast members, including Dylan Baker, Christine Lahti, Lucy Liu, Annie Potts, Jimmy Smits and original London players Janet McTeer and Ken Stott. Roman Polanski is also at work on a film adaptation of the play, with John C. Reilly, Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz among the cast.
