The hit multi-media Rockettes stage production New York City Spring Spectacular, which premiered in spring 2015 at Radio City Music Hall, has been renamed New York Spectacular Starring The Radio City Rockettes.
Creative team and casting have not been announced, but this year’s event will offer audiences a different kind of New York City adventure story. The production will run June 15-August 7.
The 2016 presentation, according to MSG Entertainment, “celebrates New York City in the summertime centered around the trip of a lifetime for two kids, who, while on a vacation in New York, are separated from their parents. The city magically comes to life to show them its many splendid wonders and helps to reunite their family in the end.”
Derek Hough, who co-starred with Laura Benanti in the 2015 premiere, will make his Broadway debut next season in Singin' in the Rain.
