Harris Yulin (Broadway's The Price, Hedda Gabler), Heather Burns (Playwright Horizons' Lobby Hero), Julia Stiles (Central Park's Twelfth Night, "Mona Lisa Smile"), Brenda Pressley (And the World Goes 'Round) and Marcia DeBonis (Blue Window at MCC) will join Mia Farrow in the New York premiere of James Lapine's play, directed by the author. The Playwrights Horizons production plays the not-for-profit's mainstage beginning Aug. 30 (the performance is a pay-what-you-can show). Opening is Sept. 25. Performances continue to Oct. 9.
"Incapacitated, surrounded by her family, Fran (Mia Farrow) guides us on an unpredictable journey into her past in an effort to help understand her present situation," according to Playwrights Horizons. Yulin plays Fran's husband, and Stiles and Burns play her daughters in the play billed as "an offbeat, colorful tale of a woman at a midlife crossroads."
Tickets, $60 each, will be available by calling Ticket Central at (212) 279-4200 (12 Noon to 8 PM daily), or going online at www.playwrightshorizons.org.
