Broadway News Tickets to Pretty Woman on Broadway Will Go On Sale December 15 The new musical, which will have its world premiere in Chicago this spring, is set to arrive on Broadway in August.

Tickets for the world premiere and subsequent Broadway run of Pretty Woman: The Musical will go on sale to the general public December 15. As previously announced, the new musical will open at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre August 16 after beginning previews July 20.

Tickets for the musical's pre-Broadway premiere will be available at all Broadway In Chicago Box Offices, the Broadway In Chicago Ticket Line at (800) 775-2000, and online at BroadwayInChicago.com.

Pretty Woman: The Musical will begin performances at Chicago’s Oriental Theatre March 13, 2018, and play a five-week limited engagement. The production is directed and choreographed by two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell.

Based on the 1990 romantic comedy, the new musical features a book co-written by the film’s director, the late Garry Marshall, and screenwriter J.F. Lawton, and music and lyrics by Grammy winner Bryan Adams and his longtime songwriting partner, Jim Vallance.

Leading the cast as Vivian and Edward will be Samantha Barks and Steve Kazee, respectively. The principal cast also includes Kingsley Leggs as James Morse, Orfeh as Kit, Eric Anderson as Mr. Thompson, and Jason Danieley as Philip Stuckey.

The production will feature scenic design by David Rockwell, costume design by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and Philip S. Rosenberg, sound design by John Shivers, hair design by Josh Marquette, music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Will Van Dyke, and casting by Telsey + Company.

Pretty Woman: The Musical is produced by Paula Wagner, Nice Productions, LPO, New Regency Productions, Roy Furman, James L. Nederlander, Caiola Productions, Hunter Arnold, Ed Walson, Michael Cassel Group, Stage Entertainment, Ambassador Theatre Group, and The John Gore Organization.
