News Tim Blake Nelson's Eye of God to Play Off-Broadway's Kirk Theatre Previews for Tim Blake Nelson's Eye of God will begin Oct. 2 at The Kirk Theatre on Theatre Row with an official opening scheduled for Oct. 7.

Lisa Devine will direct a cast that comprises Morgan Baker, Ehad Berisha, Benard Cummings, William Franke, Judson Jones, Helen Merino, Richard Mawe, Valerie Redd, Matt Savins, Doug Sheppard, and Shorey Walker.

"In Kingfisher, Oklahoma, an innocent young woman meets a strong man of faith," according to press notes. "A young boy witnesses a brutal murder. Where is the line between moral and radical? A love story between the lonely, the troubled, the forgotten and the radical believer who can save them."

The production will also feature scenic design by Robin Vest, costume design by Benjamin Taylor Ridgway, lighting design by Jessica M. Burgess and sound design and music by Scott O'Brien.

Tim Blake Nelson is also the author of The Grey Zone, Anadarko and Cyrus. His acting credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Beard of Avon, Oedipus, Troilus and Cressida, Les Bourgeois Avant-Garde, An Imaginary Life, The Baltimore Waltz and Richard III.

Theatre East produces. Show times are Wednesday-Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 2 PM.
