The London showbiz shop Dress Circle is currently selling a limited number of autographed copies of the book, which was first published in hardback in September 1999. The autobiography chronicles Rice's life through 1984, including his working relationship with composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. Lloyd Webber and Rice created three hit musicals: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita. The book also includes Rice's take on his public school days as well as his love of "comics, cricket and women."
After working with Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice went on to write lyrics for such musicals as Blondel, Chess, The Lion King and Aida. He also contributed additional lyrics to Broadway's Beauty and the Beast.
The 456-page "Oh, What a Circus - The Autobiography" is priced at £8.99. Visit www.dresscircle.co.uk for more information.
