News Time Out Critic Cote Joins NY1 as Theatre Correspondent, Feb. 21 David Cote, theatre editor and longtime critic for Time Out New York, will on Feb. 21 begin a new facet of his career as an on-air correspondent for NY1, the New York-based cable news network that devotes considerable time to theatre coverage.

Cote's first appearance will be on Feb. 21 at 9:30 AM and 7:30 PM. He will deliver his critique on the recently opened Terrence McNally double-bill The Stendhal Syndrome. Cote rose to the position of TONY's theatre editor in September 2003, when his predecessor, Jason Zinoman, left the weekly to become the New York Times' theatre columnist. He has written for Time Out since 2000. He began his career in theatre journalism by founding and editing a webzine titled OFF: A Journal for Alternative Theater, which focused on Off-Off Broadway shows.
