Timothy West Stars in King Lear at London's Old Vic

News   Timothy West Stars in King Lear at London's Old Vic

There's something about King Lear at the moment . . .

At the same time as Oliver Ford Davies is launching his book on playing the role at the Almeida last year, it has been announced that Timothy West will play the role at the Old Vic in March. West is one of Britain's most distinguished actors, and is part of something of a stage dynasty, being married to Prunella Scales and the father of Sam West, who last year played an award-winning Hamlet for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

King Lear is directed by Stephen Unwin and begins at the Old Vic on March 18.
