Brian d'Arcy James will sing again at NY's China Club Nov. 22 at 8 PM. Floating City, the band from his previous Aug. 9 cabaret gig, will also return for this performance.
James is best known for creating the role of Fredrick Barrett in Titanic. Other credits include stints in Lincoln Center's Carousel, Blood Brothers, Floyd Collins, Violet, and the first national tour of Les Miserables. He was also featured on the 1997 Kennedy Center Honors and the PBS/BBC Great Performances Tribute to Rogers and Hart.
Floating City is a band of Broadway professionals cullied from Titanic, Side Show, Cabaret, The Capeman, Beauty and the Beast, Tommy, Les Miserables and Grease. The group performs original vocal, string and rock material. Members of Floating City include Dan Lipton, Sean McCourt, Charlie Descarfino, Drew McVety, Clarke Thorell, Andy Taylor, David Rossmer, Ted Sperling and others.
Tickets for the cabaret are $35 with a $15 drink minimum. Reservations can be made by calling (212) 921-9204. Doors open at 7:15 PM for an 8:00 PM show time. The China Club is located at 268 W. 47th Street.
