Raymond G. Del Barrio will co-direct the production with creator Hart and David Simmons; Del Barrio will also choreograph. The cast will feature TJ Jackson (nephew to the late Michael Jackson) as Prince Jean Luc and pop singer Taylor Dayne as the evil stepmother Dahlia.

Michael Jackson associates Jerry Greenberg and Frank Dileo will produce the revival. Jackson was a presenter of the original staging.

"We were going through Sisterella archives a few weeks ago and found those original costume sketches for Michael [Jackson]," Hart said in a statement. "It was a surreal, bittersweet moment. Michael loved Sisterella, and at the time was looking for a creative role in theatre."

Sisterella is a retelling of the classic "Cinderella" story set in New York City.
