Well, help is on the way. Nicky gets equal time beginning Aug. 14, when Nicky Goes Goth debuts at the New York International Fringe Festival.The Elizabeth Meriwether comedy will play at The Player's Theater (115 MacDougal St.) until Aug. 25.
In Nicky Goes Goth, "worlds collide when billionaire heiress Nicky Hilton, dragged out for the evening by her older sister Paris, meets Shithead, an angry Goth kid from the suburbs looking to blow up a night club. Love blooms under the fluorescent lights of the club’s bathroom, as Nicky and Shithead, recognizing their unlikely similarities, plot to destroy the world. Only the wrath of Paris Hilton can stop this explosive identity crisis. The play takes us to the suburbs, the Goth world, the club scene, and even inside the brain of unhappy Nicky."
Zoe Kazan stars as Nicky Hilton and Julie Lake is Paris. Also in the cast are Billy Eichner, Eliisa Frazier, Emily Lodish, Derek Miller, Michael Nathanson, Will Rogers, and Anita Wlody. Shira Milikowsky directs.
