Todrick Hall, who played a limited engagement as Billy Flynn in the Broadway production of Chicago at the end of 2017, returns to the role of the slick lawyer beginning November 19 in the London revival at the Phoenix Theatre.

The actor, also seen on Broadway in Kinky Boots, will give them the ol' razzle dazzle through January 5, 2019, joining Sarah Soetaert as Roxie Hart, Josefina Gabrielle as Velma Kelly, Mazz Murray as Mama Morton, and Paul Rider as Amos Hart. Hall succeeds Duncan James, who played his final performance as Flynn November 17.

Hall has also previously appeared on Broadway in Memphis and in the original production of The Color Purple. His myriad viral YouTube videos frequently draw on his affinity for musical theatre and have featured such stage alums as Shoshana Bean, Jay Armstrong Johnson (currently on Broadway in The Phantom of the Opera), and Alex Newell (currently on Broadway in Once On This Island).

Chicago has been one of my favorite musicals since I first heard the song ‘Cell Block Tango,’ which has now been the inspiration for some of my most viral YouTube videos,” Hall previously told Playbill. “I'm so excited to tell this story every night and be a part of one of the greatest Broadway musicals of all time.”
