News Tomorrow for Him: "Queer Eye" Guy Returns to Rent in August Didn't get a chance to see "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" actor Jai Rodriguez in Rent July 5-17? He'll be back Aug. 2-14, a spokesperson confirmed.

Rodriguez has played the part of Rent's Angel on Broadway and in Canada, but his July return marked the first time be played the role as a genuine celebrity due to his exposure on TV's reality makeover show, "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy." Rodriguez plays the culture consultant on the hit Bravo TV show in which five gay men makeover dissheveled, fashionless, culturally limited straight men. His stage credits include the title role in Off-Broadway's Zanna, Don't! (also the cast album) and Lincoln Center Theater's Spinning Into Butter.

Jonathan Larson's Rent continues at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre. The rock 'n' roll tale of East Village outsiders struggling with loss, love and life at the end of the 20th century was inspired by Puccini's La Boheme.

Rodriguez plays Angel, a crossdressing performance artist who becomes part of the extended family of friends and lovers in the Tony Award-winning musical.
