News Tony and Emmy Winner Donna Murphy Will Join Series on ABC and VH1 Tony and Emmy Award winner and New York stage veteran Donna Murphy will join two series this fall with recurring roles on the second season of ABC’s “Resurrection” and VH1’s new scripted series “Hindsight," representatives announced.

According to notes, "on “Resurrection”, Murphy plays a mysterious government black ops agent, a divergence from her role as the sweet, affectionate well-to-do mother of the series lead on “Hindsight.”

Murphy's stage and screen credits are numerous.

Murphy has won two Tony Awards, her first for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Fosca in Passion - for which she also received a Drama Desk Award and Drama League Award. Her second Tony and another Drama League award was presented to Murphy for her role in the revival of The King and I.

Murphy's Emmy Award was presented for Best Actress in a Drama Special or Series for her performance in HBO’s “Someone Had to Be Benny”.
